The engineers at the Steinbeis Transfer Centre for Rolling Bearing Technology are experts in all aspects of rolling bearing technology. The service portfolio includes consulting, design and product validation. In addition, the Bavarians from Herzogenaurach prepare damage and material analyses as well as market evaluations. The results of the application analysis as well as the measurement and materials technology provide an overall picture that gives information about the rolling bearing quality. Since its foundation, rolling bearing professionals have realised projects for the wind industry, the commercial vehicle sector, the automotive sector, the industrial sector as well as the pump and electronics industry. The transfer centre is part of the globally active Steinbeis Network, in which more than 6,000 experts are networked. In addition to the headquarters in Herzogenaurach, there is a second location in Schweinfurt, which houses a test laboratory and a precision measurement room. The Stein-beis Transfer Centre for Rolling Bearing Technology was founded by Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Dominik Helfrich and by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stephan Sommer, who holds a professorship for quality management and production metrology at the University of Applied Sciences in Schweinfurt.
